OUR BELIEFS
1 We believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, One God self existing, who has no beginning or end, existing as Father, Son and Holy Ghost
2 We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, as our Lord and Savior. The first begotten of all of the Father’s creation, who became flesh and dwelt amongst us as fully God and fully man, who by His sacrificial death on the cross and His resurrection paid the price for all sin through the shedding of His sinless blood so that all who believe on Him and His finished work on the cross, might obtain salvation.
3 We believe that Jesus was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. And that He is actually the One and Only Son of God, incarnate in the flesh.
4 We believe that Jesus suffered physically under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. That this is both a historical and spiritual fact, which has been verified beyond question.
5 We believe that Jesus descended to the dead and overcame death after three days and nights in the grave.
6 We believe that Jesus, on the third day, rose again, and was seen and heard physically by over 500persons at the same time. His resurrection is an incontrovertible fact, which is the basis of our hope that we too shall resurrect one day to live with Him in eternity.
7 We believe He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to receive the believers unto Himself and will judge the living and the dead.
8 We believe in the Holy Spirit, His Baptism and Infilling, Speaking in Tongues, all His gifts and manifestations as a tool to minister to the Body of Christ, His Offices and Graces (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Bishops, Elders, Deacons) as well as His Fruits as the evidence of having been saved and genuinely born again.
9 We believe in Water Baptism by full immersion of a believer after having openly and publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.
10 We believe in the Bible as God’s inspired instruction revealed to man by His Holy Spirit and is the final authority on any and every subject in this life.
11 We believe that Jesus is the owner of the church. The head pastor is the custodian and caretaker on behalf of Jesus and cannot claim ownership of the church, it’s members or resources. He must endeavor at all times to be of high moral standing and integrity and beyond reproach as the Jesus he represents.
That all church members are children of God and must not be abused, taken advantage of, threatened or cursed by any leader or pastor, no matter the circumstance.
12 We believe in the church universal, the community and commonality of all believers and in helping and supporting fellow believers who subscribe to the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ in all its entirety.
13 We believe in pastoral individuality as per the Offices and Graces outlined in Ephesians 4:11-12, and urge all leaders to pursue their unique calling in so far as it is situated in Scripture. We are therefore, a network of churches and fraternity of pastors, proclaiming Christ and equipping the saints in their service to God.
14 We believe in Evangelism in all its forms, Discipling and HomeCells as tools to win men for Christ and to establish them as fully functioning members of the body of Christ.
15 We believe in forgiveness of sins by confessing to God and repentance and also in the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
16 We believe in tithing, giving and financial success of our members based on love and free will and not out of compulsion. Leaders and Members shall not engage in wealth acquisition by foul means.
17 We believe in regular breaking of bread of Holy Communion as instructed by Jesus Christ.
18 We believe in private and public prayer, signs, wonders, deliverance , casting out devils and miracles as well as public testimony of same by church members and leaders.
19 We believe in marriage as instituted by God to be between a man and a woman only, so far as their gender is exactly as they were identified at birth. We believe that polygamy, infidelity and divorce are at variance with New Testament scripture as taught by Jesus.
We believe in the Family unit where children (whether biological or adopted) are nurtured in the fear of God to become fully functional members of the church and the larger society within a marriage as defined by the word of God and the church (above)
20 We believe in the Biblical methods of accountability, equity, righteousness and justice in setting up church structures, departments, duties/responsibilities, resolution of conflicts and disagreements and all matters of administration.
21 We believe in coexisting in harmony with all faiths and submitting to civic and political authorities, so far as our faith is not infringed upon. We believe in living in compliance with laid down legal and civic duties as responsible members of society.
22 We believe that a marriage is ratified by the couple fulfilling all obligations required by the families of the couple and by registering same under the required laws of the country of sojourn.
The church’s role is to counsel before and after marriage and to hold a ceremony to bless and affirm before the congregation, the marriage, already ratified by the families and the laws of the land.
Thus, a traditional wedding where a church leader, blesses the couple after their vows, and the couple sign and register the marriage, shall be held in same esteem as one where the couple after the traditional wedding, hold a separate white wedding in church for the same purpose of saying vows and receiving blessings of the church leadership.
23 We believe in honoring our church leaders and in submitting to their authority vested in them by God and the church, in so far as their leadership is not contrary to scripture.
Any continuous display of abuse and manipulation or subjugation of the flock for personal gain or advantage, shall lead to removal of such persons no matter their status.
24 We believe in dreams, trances, visions and God’s audible voice as well as angels as God’s means of communicating with us.
All such revelations must conform to and be subject to the Holy Scriptures.
25 We believe in both bi-vocational and full time ministry and all leaders shall be free to exercise either without compulsion and in line with their convictions.
